About This Archive: A Deep Dive
Welcome to the Helium Network Archive, an independent initiative dedicated to preserving and presenting the historical performance data of the Helium decentralized wireless network. Our mission is to provide a transparent and accessible resource for anyone interested in tracking the long-term trends and evolution of this innovative blockchain-powered infrastructure.
Our Data Philosophy: Archival & Transparency
Unlike live dashboards that typically show only the most recent 7 days of data, this archive extends that window by allowing users to save 7-day snapshots each 7 days. This means you can build and explore a comprehensive historical record of key Helium metrics that might otherwise be ephemeral.
All data displayed on this site is directly sourced from publicly available Helium metrics APIs. We do not generate, alter, or interpret the raw data beyond what is necessary for display and archival purposes. Our goal is to reflect the official public metrics as accurately as possible at the time of collection.
Independence & Non-Affiliation
It is crucial to state that the Helium Network Archive is an independent project. We are not affiliated with Helium Mobile, Nova Labs, the Helium Foundation, or any other official entity or commercial enterprise associated with the Helium Network. Our work is driven by a passion for decentralized technologies and a commitment to open data.
This archive operates solely as a third-party data visualization and storage tool. Any insights or conclusions drawn from the data presented here are the user's own responsibility and should not be considered official statements or endorsements from Helium-related organizations.
How Data Archiving Works on Our Server
When you click the "Save Current Data" button, a snapshot of the latest 7-day metrics is fetched from Helium's public APIs and stored securely on our server. This process creates a timestamped JSON file (e.g., `YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS.json`) containing the detailed data for that specific 7-day period.
To prevent excessive data storage and ensure meaningful historical points, our system allows a new save operation only after 7 days have passed since the last save. This ensures each archived snapshot represents a distinct weekly period, building a valuable long-term dataset.
By utilizing this feature, you contribute to the collective effort of maintaining a robust, publicly accessible historical record of the Helium Network's journey.
